Black Ground · Ivory Tribal Weave !
Black as a moonless night over the Mahanadi, this 3-ply mulberry silk saree is a weave of two worlds — the quiet geometry of fish and cross motifs scattered across the body, and the bold ceremonial spirit of tribal figures rising through the pallu.
The body is alive with tiny woven symbols , crossed forms and stylised fish , set in silver on deep black, creating a rhythmic all-over pattern that catches light as you move. Framing it all: a dramatic ikat-inspired arrow border that runs the full length, commanding and precise.
The pallu unfolds like a folk painting , rows of dancing tribal figures in ivory white, drawn from the Dokra and Saura art traditions of Odisha, each one woven thread by thread into the silk. This is not decoration. This is memory.
