Woven in the ancient double ikat tradition of Odisha, this fourply silk saree is a testament to the mastery of weavers. The body glows in a warm copper-ochre a burnished, golden-brown that catches light like an autumn harvest while the border and motifs are rendered in deep peacock teal, creating a contrast that is both bold and timeless.
Scattered across the body are traditional ikat butis birds, horses, conch shells, and sacred geometric forms each motif resist-dyed with painstaking precision before the first thread meets the loom.
The pallu tells a more dramatic story: a rich dark ground carries rows of vibrant lotus-like floral medallions in saffron yellow and temple red, framed by teal striped bands that echo the border's depth.
The fourply weave lends this saree an exceptional weight and drape ,structured yet fluid, with a lustrous hand that only pure mulberry silk can offer.
